The transition from the male body to the horse should be more gradual.(softer)
I feel the background is more interesting then the figure. It should be the opposite. Great grass texture!

I think you could have refined the central character more, in terms of sharpness and detail, but you should have kept the warmth from the original palette. This leaves the figure looking a bit more "stuck on" that the first version.
Obviously you've worked the detail up a few notches, but as the saying goes "don't fix somethin' that ain't broke". The background was fine in the last version, i think the figure just needed refinement and a little colour correction.
